“Texas hold ‘em poker continues to gain popularity across the nation through televised championship games and on the Internet, and now the games might be coming to Milford and Brookline. The plan for New Hampshire Charitable Gambling (NHCG) to covert 12 out of the 20 thousand square feet of the former Violette’s IGA grocery store at Granite Town Plaza in Milford will go before the Milford Planning Board on Tuesday, Sept. 18.”

“French officials are in Brussels to discuss a possible opening up of the French online gambling market. This could be a first step towards a liberalization of French gambling policy, but business commentators express moderated skepticism. “For about half of these, at least 6 in 10 Americans agree about the issues’ morality. Issues widely affirmed as acceptable include the death penalty, divorce, stem cell research involving human embryos, and gambling.”
