“Sweetwater Police admit they ccidentally stumbled onto a high stakes poker game Friday when they first responded to a complaint about loud noise coming out of room No. 129 at Best Value Inn in Sweetwater. Six suspects and two motel employees could wind up being charged after nearly $25,000 in cash was seized. Police Chief Eddie Byrum and Detective John Scruggs said the bust did not stem from a planned raid and they had no prior knowledge of the poker game where the individuals allegedly involved had between $1,000 and $7,000 each on their person.”
